Welcome to Stone Creek Elementary.
We are excited to offer our students a fresh and creative environment where their curiosity and drive can help them find success. Beyond the general education classroom students attend Music, PE, and STEAM class. Additionally, most grades have three recesses a day!
I have worked in the Derby district as a building principal since 2013. Prior to working in Derby, I was the building principal in USD 396 Douglass for five years. My son, Treyton, attended Derby High but is now off to college at Friends University in Wichita. My son, Tate, will be attending Derby High School as a Senior. My husband graduated from DHS in 1993. Living in Derby provides our family with numerous activities, awesome friends, and potential for more!!
As a building leader, I enjoy working with staff members and parents to hear how we can improve our system. I'm interested in allowing students to learn at their own rate and progress through standards with the help and support of our awesome staff.
Our building was designed with community involvement in mind. As a parent of SCE, I encourage you to visit our building and talk to kids about your hobbies, your talents, and your area of expertise. Our goal is to bring professionals and subject-experts to SCE in order to spark students' interests and ignite their fire to learn more! We will need your help, so please watch for help requests and other ways to support!
