Derby Public Schools will distribute, upon request from a parent/guardian or staff member, free at-home testing kits for COVID-19. The ability to provide this service is made possible through a continued grant from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE). 

If you would like to pick-up a free test, need to call in a COVID-related absence or have general COVID-19 questions, please call our district office at (316) 440-5369. This number will serve as our COVID-19 hotline and will be answered on days when school is in session from 8AM-4:30PM. You will be provided with the option to pick-up your free test kits from one of two designated locations - either Oaklawn Elementary or Derby North Middle School. Tests will be available for curbside pick-up from 1-2PM on days when school is in session. Tests are only available to those who call in advance.

*FDA Granted Shelf-Life Extension Dates: Siemens Healthineers: CLINITEST Rapid COVID-19 Antigen Self-Tests with the printed expiration date of November 2022 will now have the extended expiration date of December 2023. ACON Laboratories, Inc: Flowflex COVID-19 Antigen Home Tests with the printed expiration date of December 2022 will now have the extended expiration date of July 2023.
