Wee Panther Pals
Wee Panther Pals is a school readiness program for preschool children ages 3-5 residing in the Derby USD 260 school district. This program provides parents the unique opportunity to be hands-on in their child’s early learning and development in preparation for kindergarten. Children attend class once a week with a parent (or grandparent) to participate in structured learning activities. During a typical Wee Panther Pals class, children are exposed to a variety of learning opportunities including classroom routines and procedures, circle time, learning centers, early literacy, handwriting, math, science, art, show and tell, and cooperative play. There is a $70 annual tuition fee to participate in the Wee Panther Pals program. Financial assistance is available based on income. Classes begin September and go through May.
Special Note: Wee Panther Pals classes are designed to be a focused one-on-one time for the enrolled child and a parent (or grandparent). Parents are responsible to make child care arrangements for other siblings in order to participate in the program.
